Course description

The course covers basic production technologies like injection molding, extrusion, blowmolding, casting, forging and new technologies like Rapid Manufacturing.

Learning outcomes

Students should be able to utilize known production technologies like injectionmolding, blowmolding and extrusion, furthermore, have an understanding of newer manufacturing techniques like Rapid manufacturing.

Contents and teaching methods

Lectures. The course is strongly integrated with the project “From ideas to products”

Exams and assessment methods

Written exam at the end of the year.

The course is assessed subject to an A-F grade scale. E is the poorest pass mark, as stated in the Regulations for Master's degree programmes at Oslo School of Architecture and Design, § 6-14.
